Dice and tables that say what they roll.
StoryVue's dice roller and random tables are built for the game you run. Type a dice expression and it rolls as plain text, keep a shelf of weighted tables, and roll a result straight into the session log. Ten tables ship ready to roll, and any table you already have pastes in with its odds.

Roll at the table, and the log keeps it.
Roll a table from the session composer and the result lands in that night's log, beside the notes, decisions and reveals. A table entry can link to one of your characters or places, so the result opens the thing it names.

How to make a random table.
Tables live on their own page, with the dice beside them, and the session runner rolls them too.
Start from the shelf, or your own. Copy one of the ten starter tables, or paste a list: plain lines, a numbered list, or a markdown table.
Keep the odds. A leading range like 01-20 becomes the entry's weight, so odds copied from a book come across intact.
Read what it rolls. Each table names its die, such as Rolls 1d20, and a weighted table shows each entry's chance.
Roll it. Roll from the table page, or from the session composer so the result lands in the log.
Dice, as text.
No 3D dice to wait for: an expression goes in, the roll and its total come out.
Dice expressions
Modifiers and keep rules: 2d6 + 3, 4d6kh3 for an ability score, or 2d20kh1 for advantage.
Ten starter tables
Six adapted from the 5e SRD under CC BY 4.0, from madness to sentient items, and four written for StoryVue, from rumours to the weather.
Attribution kept
A copied table keeps its source's attribution, and rows reorder and tables duplicate as your shelf grows.
Rolls in a fight
In a running encounter, click an attack to roll to-hit and damage against the target's AC.
