Search it like a monster manual.

Narrow the list by a challenge rating range and a creature type, switch either rules set on or off, and read the full stat block beside the list: abilities, saves, senses, traits, actions, bonus actions, reactions and legendary actions.

StoryVue's compendium: a searchable monster list with challenge ratings beside a full stat block, with both 5e System Reference Documents enabled as sources.

From the bestiary to the table.

The bestiary feeds the encounter builder, so a monster you find is a few clicks from rolling initiative.

  1. Find the creature. Search by name, then narrow by challenge rating and type.

  2. Add it to your world. Add to my world copies the stat block in as a creature, staged and connected like any character. The list marks what is already in your world.

  3. Build the fight. Add it to an encounter, check the balance against your party, then run initiative.

  4. Roll from the stat block. Click an attack to roll it against a target's AC, with damage rolled per packet and applied full or half.

Bring the rest of the table.

The bestiary covers the monsters. Your players' characters come in from their own sheets.
