Relationships that change, scene by scene.

StoryVue charts character relationships as arcs, not labels. Each relationship is a run of phases, each pinned to the scene where it begins: allies, then rivals, then something else. Every scene shows the phase true at that moment. Free on every plan, with no AI.

This demo is the real thing, live. Step the playhead through the sample story and the label changes at the scene where each phase begins. Drag a phase's start and the whole arc reshapes around it.

How to chart a relationship arc.

Arcs live on the scene canvases, so they follow the Master Timeline: a phase holds from its scene until the next phase begins.

  1. Draw the link. On a scene canvas, drag from one character to another. The Connection editor opens at once, with both ends named.

  2. Add the first phase. Give it a label, such as old friends, and pick the scene where it begins.

  3. Add the turn. Add another phase at the scene where things change. Tick Ends here when the relationship is over, and it disappears from that scene on.

  4. Read it anywhere. Each scene canvas draws the phase true at that scene, and the scene ledger lists every relationship active there. Show dormant links draws the rest as dashed lines.

What else an arc can tell you.

Arcs are part of the free planning core. The checks and the character view that read them come with the paid plans.
